As a Teach for India fellow, I spent 2 years teaching children in a government school in Mumbai. It’s a very cliche thing to say but I will still say it because it’s true: I learnt more from the children than I taught them. I felt this very strongly during the fellowship but I understood it deeply later. Children are not poisoned by the views of the society and their natural innocence and curiosity is one of the most special wonders out there. Through these photographs, I wanted to capture glimpses of it.
